Hi, there

My name is Xiao Long. I'm from China. I'm travelling to Tanzania this week on 9th, November. I'll be staying in Tanzania for at least three months travelling. If you need help with anything that i'm capable of, I would like to help you with those tasks.

Kindly,
Xiao Long

Historical  Back ground

Hello, I'm from China. My name is Xiao Long(è‚–é¾™). I finished my study in university already in China. I have been working as a volunteer in a Camphill in Wales, UK for almost one year. After I also worked as volunteer in Ecuador in South America, and in Tanzania.

I'm interested in experiencing other cultures in a different country. I like those animals. I have a strong passion to the nature and the things related to it.

I consider myself as a open-minded, easy-going person. I'm native Chinese speaker and I speak fluent English. I can also speak Spanish, Swahili and Chichewa in a fair level.

I'm willing to do all different kinds of works within the house, care providing or around the field and farm or building related work.

Xiao Long's Feedback after Volunteering:

I first met and stayed with Mr.Herman in a monastery isolated from the rest, near the small town Karatu. Before everything, I was told to help with writing projects in a different place, rather than Karatu, on purpose of acquiring fund or donation, being all projects being intented to improvement of many respects. I had the luck to stay in the monastery where many Sisters live, for two weeks. The monastery has a hostel. The monastery and its surrounding are very beautiful! I After, I moved to Ukerewe which is an island in Victory Lake, to help in a Parish, which gave me an opportunity to know real rural Tanzanian life and get to know Tanzanian people well. I'm sure I won't forget that experience in my life!

Herman's Reply:

We really Enjoyed staying with Xiao Long from China. He was really flexible because being in Africa you need to be flexible with our time because we have our time different from other Continent Xiao Long was teaching the Computer to the Nuns because He knows Swahili it was easier to communicate with any one in Arusha Karatu and in Ukerewe Island in Lake victoria. He was social to every one and He was writing projects and submitting to different donors, We still need him here in Tanzania.
