I spent just under 3 months in Tanzania volunteering with this host, and it was a great experience. Herman is a passionate, driven and friendly person. Always takes pleasure in meeting and learning from new people. I spent a few weeks in the monastery with the Sisters in Karatu which is a lovely peaceful place. Then we ended up travelling to all different parts of the country and to meet different congregations.

He helped me learn the ropes of the local transport, and in the 2nd half of my trip I was travelling to different monasteries on my own under his advice and guidance. I worked in a school in Mwanza as well as meeting nuns and monks in Tabora, Igunga, Mbeya and Sumbawanga. Sometimes because of the moving around sometimes I had to find my own work and ways to contribute. And even with me being atheist, all of the nuns i stayed with were lovely and very welcoming.

There is a lot of different opportunities if you join this host. Thank you for such a great experience!

I really recommend Thomas is good volunteer, He really worked with catholic Nuns,Priests,Monks, with his IT technology,He helped us fixing our computers which were not working,He help catholic congregations in project designing, we requested him to help us with laptops when was coming to us from uk. He told us that He approached one company from Uk and he came with four laptop very durable. we still need laptops for those who are coming here please assist as Thomas did. I recommend Thomas to work with any organization or company everywhere in this world. Thomas is a volunteer we need to work with in our organization please use him.
